Star Wars TV Series Looking For Writers
IGN FilmForce is reporting that Lucasfilm is looking for writers for their Star Wars TV series. Apparently the plan is to have the show scripted at George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch in an attempt to keep details secret.
Currently work on the untitled Star Wars show is scheduled to begin in January 2006 with the show being produced by George Lucas and Rick McCallum. Details on the proposed Star Wars TV show are still a little vague.
On the production side of things we know the series is planned to run 50 hours and be a mixture of live-action and CGI (much like the Star Wars films presumably). Principal photography is scheulded for 2007 and the location will be Australia.
As far as the story goes, details are very sparse. We know tht it will take place some time between the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy and it may involve imperial bounty hunters. Beyond that it’s all speculation. Still, they’ve got a year to figure out what the hell they’re doing.
