Stargate SG-1 7/9/04
Season 8 of Stargate SG-1 opened with a 2 hour episode. Those of you expecting to see it set up for the new series Stargate: Atlantis will be sadly dissapointed. It does however resolve the biggest cliffhanger from the last season.
We’re also treated to the return of the Replicators and the Asgard. Not to mention some general filling in of backstory as far as what the System Lords are up to.
The two hours skipped by very pleasantly. There was nothing radically new or unexpected in the show, but the central characters are as amiable as ever and after 7 years there’s a fair amount of emotional attachment.
So pretty much its more of the same from SG-1. But since that same was very enjoyable for the last 7 seasons, you’re not going to hear me complaining.
Next week we get to see what the deal really is with Atlantis.
