Stargate SG-1 Ends With Season 10
Stargate SG-1, the longest running science fiction show on American television will not be re-newed for an 11th season, the SciFi Channel confirmed while announcing that the spin-off series Stargate Atlantis will return for a fourth year.
The announcement comes just after Stargate SG-1 aired it's 200th episode. By the end of this tenth season, SG-1 will have broadcast an impressive 215 episodes. SG-1 was developed for television by Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner from the 1994 feature film Stargate.
SG-1 originally starred Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping and Christopher Judge and the first 5 seasons were broadcast on Showtime. The current 10th season of Stargate SG-1 still includes Tapping, Shanks and Judge but Dean Anderson was replaced by Ben Browder and Claudia Black and Beau Bridges were added to the cast.
It's probably for the best. SG-1 has had a phenomenal run, and I'm impressed with how well the recent re-invention of the series has gone, but they are running out of places to go and it's probably best to go out before the series really starts to suffer.

It is agreat shame that stargate will be finnishing after season 10 as it was a great show and it will be sadly missed by all its fans

I am gutted, no more SG1 - its a tragedy for me. Goodbye old (and new) friends.

I love stargate and its a pity that it is ending love the show and the characters. I
wish it could keep going but i know that all good things must come to an end. For me
I love jack i think he is absolutely great his 1 liners in the show are so funny and
besides that he is so sexy love you richard dean anderson and i love daniel too he is
fantastic.
I have seen every eposide of stargate and the show is fantastic, thanks for giving
a great show its up there with the great sci-fi’s shows. xoxoxox mary australia
