Stargate SG-1 Season Nine News
Co-executive producer of Stargate SG-1 Joseph Mallozzi confirmed over on GateWorld.net’s Forum that Michael Shanks, who plays Daniel Jackson in the series will return for the ninth season. Shanks joins Ben Browder (Farscape) on the list of confirmed cast members for Season Nine.
Amanda Tapping and Christopher Judge are also both expected to return but have not yet signed. While the producers hope to have Richard Dean Anderson back in some capacity, nothing has been agreed and it may be as a recurring guest star since the actor is eager to spend more time in California with his young daughter.
No details on Ben Browder’s character are yet available, but he should be appearing in all 20 episodes of the ninth season.
Claudia Black may also return to Stargate SG-1 in season nine. She has been offered a 5 episode story arc. She will appear in the upcoming Season Eight episode “Prometheus Unbound” which airs on January 28th. Her character is an alien woman named Vala who builds a friendly relationship with Daniel Jackson after she hijacks the Prometheus for use by her people to escape Baal.

We tevo every Stargate program that comes on TV and have become very big fans. As much as we love
Daniel Jackson, Samatha Carter and of course telk it won’t be the same show without Jack O’Neal. Please
bring back out of retirement as you have done so many times before. We need his dry humor and funny off the wall statements to make the show worth watching. All of our friends who watch the show feel the same way.
