Stargate SG-1’s Ratings Hold Steady While Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica Slips

Stargate SG-1’s ratings held up for the second episode of season 9. Avalon Part 2 (the second part of a three part premiere) earned a 2.1 household rating and 2.6 million viewers. Atlantis did not fair quite so well though with The Intruder earning a 2.0 rating which is a 10% drop from the previous week.

Battlestar Galactica took the hardest knock though with a 23% drop from its season 2 premiere managing only a 2.0 household rating which is the lowers rating for the entire series to date.

Its important to remember that a drop in ratings is normal after a season premiere as interest and hype for the show drops a bit. So the Stargate Atlantis ratings are still very good. The Battlestar Galactica ratings must be disappointing to the SciFi Channel.

Still one week doesn’t make a trend. Here’s hoping that ratings don’t continue to sink as this is the strongest line up of Sci Fi Friday that the Sci Fi Channel has ever fielded.
