Surface Ends First Season At Episode 15
Looks like another of the sci-fi shows that debuted at the beginning of this season is about to bite the dust. This time round it’s Surface which looks to be in serious trouble. Like The Night Stalker, Invasion and Threshold, Surface rode the wave of Lost’s success but was unable to capture the same sort of audience.
Surface will be ending its first season tonight after only 15 episodes. Which is well short of the usual 20-22 episodes that a full season of a show normally runs. As with Invasion there has been no official cancellation announcement from NBC, so it could possibly return for a second season.
However since the January 23rd episode of Surface was beaten by The King of Queens, How I Met Your Mother, Skating With Celebrities and a repeat of Wife Swap, I’d say that we won’t be seeing any more of this series any time soon.
So why are all these new sci-fi shows failing? Well I can think of several reasons, and I may make a post on the topic. For right now I’ll just say that while they tried to ride the Lost wave, they missed what makes Lost such a good show.

I beleive thats crap! And, if you are right, I wish people could get some guts and find some money to keep this show going! Currently Surface is one of my most favorite show
It seems as if you want it to fail… If so, I hope one of those large see creatures or Nim come and bite you in the @$$!

I agree with michael. If you followed the show from beginning to end you would have been suck in. This replaced Lost as my favorite show. Guys like you are not giving the show a chance. I will be pissed if we do not get a second season.

MAN THIS SHOW IS THE BEST… I LOVED THAT SHOW. I REALLY WATCH TV BUT LOST AND SURFACE ARE ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS. THATS SUCKS IF SURFACE GETS CANCEL.
