Surface Episode One Reactions

The first episode of NBC’s new sci-fi series Surface airs tonight at 8pm. Advance reviews for Surface can be described as luke-warm at best. Criticism of a key plot point (a boy being allowed to bring home the egg) is just the start as I’ve seen complaints about the characters and about the only thing getting any good reaction seems to be some of the special effects.

It’s not an encouraging start, but lets hear your thoughts. What did you make of Surface? Good, bad or indifferent? Is there hope for this one or is it already dead in the water?

Eoghann Irving is amongst other things the creator and Editor of Solar Flare. He has a life long interest in all forms of science fiction and fantasy and a pressing need to share this interest with anyone who will listen. Find out more at his personal website eoghann.com..

It totally blows! So far, everything else has well too. Will watch Ghost Whispherer, Night Stalker, and will give Supernatual another shot, but still like Medium best.

  2. Mixed reaction then. Hmm. Unfortunately it conflicts with so many other things I watch that even my two TiVo’s can’t free up the time to record it. It’ll need to get much better reviews than I’ve seen so far if it wants to knock Arrested Development off my recording list.
