Finally it looks as though those of us living in the US will be able to get Season 1 of Doctor Who on DVD legally (As opposed to the copies I have right now which just turned up on my computer one day. Honest!). Doctor Who: The Complete First Series will be released on February 14th 2006 for a retail price of around $99.

Its about time I had some more Doctor Who news to report and here it is. The big news is that BBC has scheduled the Doctor Who Christmas Special for Christmas day itself. In the UK this is the biggest television day of the entire year and the ratings battle is bitterly fought.

Outpost Gallifrey (always a good source of Doctor Who news) have posted a new bath of pictures from the set of The Christmas Invasion which is the title of the Doctor Who Christmas special which will air this year in the UK.

Clearly filming for the second season of Doctor Who is now firmly underway and Unit News has a good collection of set pictures from the filming of this years Christmas special. The pictures are decent enough in quality considering that they mostly had to be snapped from a fair distance away.
