I’d just like to point out that I told you The Incredible Hulk Wouldn’t Suck!. And by however you choose to measure these things, it doesn’t. Commercially and critically The Incredible Hulk is a success.

With a box office take of $54.5 million for the June 13th weekend, The Incredible Hulk took the number one spot comfortably.

But it’s not just a finiancial success, it’s also getting good reviews.

Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and Marvel’s Movie Plans

Slice of Sci-Fi reports that Marvels comic book movie Iron Man not only ranked as the number one movie for the weekend, but has already made over $100 million at the box office. It’s expected to do as well again internationally making it a genuine blockbuster movie. While Iron Man was always expected to be a success, these numbers are substantially better than was being predicted.

Fantastic Four Sequel Named Rise of the Silver Surfer

So it’s official, the seque to the Fantastic Four will be called. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and will feature a computer graphic version of the Surfer who is the a herald for Galactus, the planet consuming cosmic entity.

Principal photography begins in two weeks in the Vancouver area. Director Tim Story made a pos at his MySpace blog yesterday giving some insight into how things are progressing. Highlights…

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest DVD and Blu-Ray Releases

Disney has announced that not only will they release Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest on DVD but they will also release it on Sony’s Blu-ray high-definition DVD format as well. The regular DVD edition of Dead Man’s Chest will come out for this Christmas, while the Blu-ray edition will follow some time in 2007.
