Aint It Cool News has what appears to be the first review of a finished version of Serenity, the Joss Whedon written and directed film based on his short lived science fiction series Firefly. The review is generally positive, but seems reasonably balanced.

The review indicates that the film is quite accessible even to people who’ve never heard of Firefly, much less whatched ever episode. There are some criticisms though.

The role of Angel in the upcoming X-Men 3 movie from 20th Century Fox has apparently been cast. Actor Ben Foster, best known for his role in HBO’s Six Feet Under will play the mutant known as either Angel or Archangel.
