The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian Already Greenlit?
Well given the current success of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Disney was to greenlight production of the second Chronicles of Narnia movie, Prince Caspian. But at least one source is claiming that it has already happened.
An anonymous source at Disney has said that Disney was looking for a $60 million opening weekend for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Having surpassed that, they have (so this source claims) already greenlit Prince Caspian for a December 2007 theatrical release.
The source goes on to say that we won’t likely see an official announcement until as late as January. They also claim that director Adamson has not decided whether he wants to direct the second movie yet. It has previously been reported that work on the script for Prince Caspian has been underway for some time and it is very nearly finished.
As always, keep in mind this is an unconfirmed rumor.
