Providing the Information That Sci-Fi Fans Need

The History of the Future

Jeremy Beard contacted me about some excerpts from his science fiction novel that he’s started posting on a new blog. I don’t know much about the novel itself beyond what is available on his site, but the blog is called The History of the Future, so I’m guessing the book may have the same title.

Right now there are two excerpts up for you to read. The History of Transport/The Internet and The History of Fast Food. In each case they are written in a style which is somewhat similar to The Hitchhiker’s Guide To the Galaxy. By which I mean that they are humorous science fiction written in a style reminiscent of an encyclopedia.

There’s not much plot or character on display (at least currently) but both excerpts did raise some chuckles from me, being both clever and witty at the same time. I’d definitely recommend following the link to have a read.

I’d also like to encourage Jeremy to maybe post a little bit of information about the book itself just to give more context to the excerpts that he’s posting.
