The Invaders The First Season Hits Stores on May 27th
Those of you with long memories may remember the 1960s series The Invaders which starred Roy Thinnes as David Vincent. David discovers that aliens have invaded Earth in the guise of humans and are plotting to take over the world.
The problem is that the aliens know about David Vincent and he can’t convince the rest of the world that they are being invaded. Airing in 1967 this series took several cues from The Invasion of the Bodysnatchers and the Fugitive, giving us aliens that were almost impossible to distinguish from humans and playing up the paranoia as David Vincent runs from small town to small town trying to both foil the Invaders plans, gather helpers and avoid capture.
The Invaders ran for two seasons on ABC and this 5 disc DVD set with a running time of 869 minutes contains all 17 episodes from Season 1 (a mid-season replacement). The episodes in the boxed set are:
Beachhead; The Experiment; The Mutation; The Leeches; Genesis; Vikor; Nightmare; Doomsday Minus One; Quantity: Unknown; The Innocent; The Ivy Curtain; The Betrayed; Storm; Panic; Moonshot; Wall of Crystal; The Condemned.
