The X-Files: I Want to Believe - New Trailer
There’s a new trailer online for the second X-Files movie. The X-Files: I Want to Believe is set for release on July 25th 2008. Directed by Chris Carter from a script by Carter and Frank Spotnitz, the movie re-teams Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny as Mulder and Scully.

The plot for The X-Files: I Want to Believe is still largely unknown, but Carter has indicated that this movie will be a stand alone story that doesn’t tie in too deeply to the whole X-Files mythology. There has also been some indication that it will focus heavily on the relationship between Mulder and Scully.
I’m not sure about this one myself. I can’t seem to generate much excitement about the idea of another X-Files movie. It just felt like the series ran out of steam and the enjoyment I got from the early seasons faded.
