Trek XI In Two Or Three Years

Rick Berman mentioned in a recent interview that he is aiming to see a new Star Trek movie in the next three years. He didn’t go into many details however, beyond the mention the common mantra of a “new, fresh feature with a whole different outlook”. In fact he didn’t guarantee this particular film will get made at all.

Berman also pointed out an additional reason for Star Trek: Enterprise’s cancellation which is often overlooked, cost. He noted that Enterprise simply cost something like twice as much as Sci-Fi Channels shows and that level of money comes with certain expectations in terms of audience. For the same reason, it would be virtually impossible to do Enterprise on cable television
