Ultimate Avengers Movie Details
Details of the Ultimate Avengers direct to DVD animated movie have come out. Ultimate Avengers is slated for a February 2006 release. The Ultimate Avengers movie is based on the first six issue of The Ultimates by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch. The film will run to around 75 or 80 minutes in length and be in a letterboxed format.
Sound for the film will be recorded in Dolby Digital 5.1 and the movie is aimed at PG/PG-13 audiences so I’m not sure if they may tone down a few elements from the comic or not. Ultimate Avengers should be available from all major retailers, but a price point has not yet been established.
We can expect to see Nick Fury, Black Widow, Thor, Hulk, Giant Man and the Wasp all featured in Ultimate Avengers. Hawkeye wil not be present unfortunately as they just didn’t have enough screen time to go round.
Ultimate Avengers is the first of eight proposed animated films. A second Ultimate Avengers feature will hopefully follow in the second quarter of 2006 with an Iron Man film coming in the third quarter and an un-named feature for the fourth quarter.
