Watchmen Film In Jeopardy?
Aint It Cool News has posted a rumor about the upcoming Watchmen film. It seems the adaptation of Alan Moore’s classic graphic novel could be in trouble already. This is based on an anonymous tip at the moment, but still interesting.
Right now Watchmen is in pre-production in London for Paramount with Paul Greengrass signed to direct. It seems that Paramount is in some difficulties right now and that as a result Watchmen might have its $100 million budget cut significantly if it gets greenlit at all.
This would not be a good thing. Watchmen is an epic story and given all the special effects that will be needed to pull it off effectively cutting the budget can only hurt. Fingers crossed its no more than a rumor.
