William Shatner Working On Star Trek Prequel
According to ContactMusic.com actor William Shatner is working on a treatment for a Star Trek prequel series. The actor who is currently starring in Boston Legal is still best known for portraying Captain James T Kirk in the original series of Star Trek.
Shatner is apparently working on a couple of books which will star an adolescent Captain Kirk and Spock and is also working on a treatment which he hopes to present to Paramount as a possible prequel series.
Of course Shatner has “written” several Star Trek novels already so I don’t have much doubt that the books will be published, even if I do think the idea sounds terrible. Young Captain Kirk Adventures?
I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for the tv series though. At best this is a long shot.

Sounds enterprising. It also sounds a lot like the star fleet academy concept that was getting floated around several years ago.
I hope they do this one. While their at it they ought to change the entire production staff and go back to the TOS style.
